Assistance for Executors
What help might you need?
When a loved ones dies, it is a distressing time and one of the last things on your mind will be dealing with probate and the administration of an estate.
There is a good deal of paperwork involved and communicating with multiple parties to inform them of the death and request information can be emotional.
In order to apply for Probate, you need to prepare a summary of assets and debts. Making calls, sending letters, recording information and tracking updates can be an unwelcome task at this time.
Completing Probate and Inheritance Tax forms can be done by you, but you may also feel you want assistance and some back-up as these are legal forms that you need to make sure are correct.
What can we do for you?
We provide a fixed-fee personal service, helping you to get organised and taking on the administrative burden for you.
We don’t offer an online service as we believe seeing you at home or in our offices (or chatting to you via video), at a time convenient to you, allows us to understand what parts of the process you want us to help with, and provide a service tailored to your needs.
We will draft letters to financial and utilities organisations for you to sign. We can then send them, chase and track responses for you. We provide you with a progress report throughout the process and when all the information has been gathered. Our charge for this service is £595
In addition, we can help you to complete the online or paper Probate forms, guiding you through the submission process, ensuring you understand the details fully and making sure the forms are completed correctly. Our charge for this service is £595
We charge £895 if you decide you would like both services. If the estate is more complex, the charge will be higher.
We do not offer a full Probate service, legal or tax advice, but can recommend specialists who can help with this if needed.
