Morecambe Bay Wills & Estates Limited acquires Kendal Wills and Lancaster Wills! You may have read in the local press or on our social media about our recent expansion. Well, what’s it all about and why is it important to our team and our local community?
When I founded Morecambe Bay Wills, I intended for it to be something to keep me occupied after I lost my husband Jim. Something that would allow me to “give back” and do some good in our community by providing a service that was affordable and personal.
Where from?
Almost 5 years on, it has become so much more than that! Our recent expansion means that we now look after around 3500 clients! We employ 6 people locally and have another coming on board in North Wales shortly too 😊
We’ve written thousands of Wills, thousands of Powers of Attorney and helped many families deal with estates after they’ve lost a loved one. We have also spread awareness through presentations and interactive sessions in community groups and local businesses. Oh, and raised well over £20,000 for charity too!
Where to?
But we don’t want to stop there! We all passionately believe that our recent expansion gives us an opportunity to do more, spread the word more, and give more back to your community.
We have always looked after clients in South Cumbria, but the Kendal Wills acquisition heralds a new era for us. Paul Rodman, the owner of Kendal Wills, decided to retire and has entrusted us to provide a professional but deeply personalised service to his former clients. And we are committed to providing affordable peace of mind with a charitable focus. Having more clients means we do more good and raise more money for charity – it’s a win-win!
But despite our recent expansion, our core values will remain the same. We’re thrilled about our future, but our emphasis will always be our clients. We will never get too big for our boots! Our focus is now on ensuring a smooth transition for all customers who have now come under our care, and we are looking forward to helping both existing and new clients with all their needs.
The next few months
We are planning a series of “Meet the Team” events. These will be held in Kendal, Lancaster and Crooklands and are a chance to come and get to know us. Grab a brew and a biscuit, meet our qualified Estate Planners and talk about your own needs.

Spreading our wings across the area!
Our recent expansion means we will be travelling further afield, across beautiful Cumbria. We are planning to have one of our team in the area each week. What a treat to be driving around seeing lovely clients in such a beautiful area!
But our clients can also come and see us in our new offices. We have literally just moved in, after running out of room in our previous offices very quickly. More to come on that shortly, but you can find us in the beautiful old Gatehouse in White Cross, Lancaster. We give you the choice to come and see us here. You can enjoy our free parking and spend some time in our wonderful historic centre too!
